Take Your Music There

Surfing with the Freestyle Audio Sport MP3 Player

Now instead of just watching surf videos, you can be the star of your own. The Freestyle Audio DMP is a great way to bring the tunes out there with you. Lightweight and long-lasting, the Freestyle Audio DMP gives you 40 hours of battery time, so you can surf a full session hours before your battery runs out…or your tunes! Our waterproof player can be submerged in up to ten feet of water…so if you wipe out, your player won’t! A nice way to pass time between sets - “Jammin” with Bob Marley. A great addition to any surf trip! (Just ask Billabong’s surf team, especially Andy Irons)

First off, I have nothing but great things to say about your customer service. I’ve had my 512Mb player for about 8 months now, and besides some initial problems with the earphones it has been trouble-free. The earphones issue was more than well taken care of, with replacements, and even an extra set of beta-versions of the current wrap-arounds, sent out very quickly.

Today I had another experience that made me glad I picked your player. I ordinarily keep the player and armband under my rashguard when surfing, but being that its cold right now I’m in a full suit, so the armband necessarily goes on over the wettie.

I got whacked by a wave, and it stripped the player completely off my arm. I thrashed around for a few minutes, frantically trying to locate it, the “it floats!” part of your ad copy ringing in my head. After a solid ten minutes of paddling around looking in the break zone, I gave up and rode one in with my head hung low.

Started walking back up the beach to my car, and there on the beach, not fifty feet from where I had exited the water, was my player. It had ridden the foam in before me, and apparently with some speed as well, so I was stoked to say the very least!! From now on it will go inside the wetsuit, and maybe I’ll invest in a new armband too.

So, this message is for nothing more than to say thanks for a
well-engineered and well-supported product. I use it every time I’m surfing solo (90% of the time) and have never regretted buying it.

Thanks again, and here’s to your continued success!

    Jarrod
